Statement
Accessibility statement.

Jardine Studio aims to make this website accessible to as many people as possible, including people using keyboards, screen readers, zoom, reduced-motion settings, and other assistive technologies.
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of design and development, not as a final pass.
WCAG 2.2 AA target.
This site is designed and reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA where applicable. Our checks may include:
- semantic HTML review
- keyboard navigation
- visible focus states
- color contrast checks
- reduced-motion behavior
- form label and error checks
- automated accessibility scans
- spot checks with assistive technology where practical
We also review accessibility when major components, forms, page templates, or interactive features change.
How accessibility is built into the site.
Accessibility decisions baked into the site include semantic markup, visible focus states, keyboard support, programmatic form errors, contrast tuned for both themes, and motion that respects user preferences.
- semantic HTML before ARIA
- visible focus states for interactive elements
- keyboard-navigable navigation, links, forms, and controls
- form labels connected to inputs
- form errors described in text and associated with the relevant fields
- color contrast designed for readability in light and dark themes
- motion that respects prefers-reduced-motion
- meaningful alt text for content images
- empty alt text for decorative images
- headings structured to support page navigation
- no intentional keyboard traps
- responsive layouts that support zoom and smaller screens
Where third-party embeds limit our control.
Some parts of the website may depend on third-party services, such as the Cal.com booking embed. We do not fully control the internal accessibility of third-party embeds.
If the booking embed creates a barrier, you can email alex@jardinestudio.com directly. We will provide an alternative way to complete the same task.
What we are still working on.
We track accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize anything that blocks navigation, reading, form submission, or booking. Known limitations may include:
- third-party embeds whose internal markup and behavior we do not control
- placeholder or decorative content during early site versions
- occasional visual or motion treatments that may need adjustment after real-world feedback
If you find a barrier, please tell us. We would rather fix a specific issue than pretend the site is perfect.
Tell us where we fell short.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email alex@jardinestudio.com with the subject line "Accessibility feedback." Please include, if you can:
- the page URL
- what you were trying to do
- what went wrong
- your browser and device
- any assistive technology used
We aim to confirm receipt within two business days and address verified issues as soon as practical, with priority given to barriers that block access to core content, forms, booking, or contact.
